I live in northern Florida and bought a landscape fixer-upper house a year ago. This book has been very helpful for choosing interesting plants. Unlike some other zone books, I appreciate that it also notes whether particular plants are more appropriate for humid versus dry climates (because Florida and Arizona can have the same zone number, and you'll waste your money if you only go by the number). Also, it is very glossy and colorful and would make a nice gift.

As Pacific Northwest Master Gardeners this was a must have book for our gardening library. It's a very useful book on what to plant in your zone. Great and useful information on propagation and types of plants for successful gardening in your region of the country.

This is a good book, although I wish it had more pictures. I'd like a color catalogue really of what I can grow in zone 10; and this is not that. However it's difficult to buy such a book on zone 10, so this is worth looking at. It's an interesting read. I will refer back to it when I need to.
